Ill be swapping my rear end into another car soon and would like to have the axle tubes welded while its out. Who can do this closest to Mason and who can do it cheapest? The axle housing doesn't need to be empty to do this does it?

I just want the axle tubes welded to the center section like this (http://www.modularrevolutiontech.com/images/Left_tube_welded.JPG). I don't know how much money a job like this usually brings so... But I cant imagine its too difficult, I just don't have a welder.

You bring it over and I don't have to do anything but weld it up ill do it for 25 bucks. I can do it on Friday Saturday or Sunday.

This really needs to be done on a jig to make sure everything is straight.

I was wondering about that. I don't know how solid they are to begin with.

I agree 100% . I would not weld it without a jig in place.

I can weld anything with the right tools. I don't have the tools for this. Your better off paying the extra money to have someone who has a jig and do it right.

Haha, that didn't even cross my mind. Chances are Ill probably wait to do this but for reference, how much does it generally cost to have this done right?

Thanks man! The rear end has to be stripped down completely, heated, and then welded in a jig. Yes we do have one. Call Craig for pricing :bigthumb

Had mine done at Dayton Performance. It was done in a jig and it turned out beautiful!

We can do it for you also check our website for pics of others done! Got a jig! Needs straightened usually first, cleaned 100%, put in jig to hold during heating and cooling, pre heated, and tig welded with 309 wire. Usually $100.00
