89gt new project

drove to Tennessee yesterday and got this car. it is an 89gt, I was surprised really how clean it was and getting it for an amazing deal (sometimes you gotta make a trip to find the deals) car is unmolested. Only real mods is a 5 lug swap with the bullet wheels/tires, edelbrock 70mm tb and spacer. Typical small tube headers/hpipe/flowmasters. The car still has all ac and works,smog pump, all stuff in interior works (power windows locks mirrors lights) even the ashtray

Overall I am real happy about the project. The cars first priority will be paint. it has 20 year old paint fade with very little rust bubble spot by ford emblem on hatch. The car has two cracked pieces, one on front bumper and one on rear. It will either get cobra bumpers or stock replacements.

After paint I will be doing complete suspension. Then over winter the motor gets pulled to get resealed, headstuds and an on3turbo kit.

My project goal completion will be next summer, I want to just cruise it this summer, I put 20 miles on it today the car drives so nice.

I plan on talking more to Plated to get the car painted
