bassani and mac make a 1 3/4" shorty header (5.0L nmra real street guys run them) that would probably work well on your car.

JBA are very nice but also very expensive. If you can afford them you probably couldn't do much better. I also like the Ford Racing stainless shorties....friend of mine has them and they're very nice. I'd also stick with solid flanges at the head.

Thanks... couldn't find any Bassani or ford racing that say they fit a "94 ...

Oh yeah good point....i'm always thinking fox body stuff. Although i can't imagine Ford doesn't sell their version for the 94-95 cars...that's kind of a shocker.

I have some Mac's with no flange now and they are a pain to bolt up after a while. that is why I am looking for some new ones... My son Jay who wrenches on my car said he wouldn't put them back on!!!

Hell you should own their full lengths...talk about a PITA. I've had to use a pry bar on some of the tubes to get them lined up with the bolt holes. Needless to say it's like i always have a header leak. The first pair of BBK solid flanges i see i'm gonna snatch them up.

Which come to think of it, the BBK full lengths are pretty nice too...i'd say their shorties are decent too. You have a really nice car though...if i could afford the JBA's i would probably get those. Now, if you wanna get serious you could always call up Kooks and see what they can do for you...that's probably the best headers money can buy. I'd also get them Jethot coated while you're at it.

I've heard a lot of people like their Violator exhaust but that's all i've heard. The price is kinda fishy...that's about the price of Mac and Mac aren't even stainless.

Do fox headers fit the 94 motors??

Why not run longtubes on that motor? Seems like shorties would really hold it back with that kind of power you were making. Why not make more of what you already have, the engine won't be working any harder. And especially since the engine is out, now would be a great time for some longtubes.

I think the difference in 93 and down headers and 94-95 is all emissions stuff. Since you probable don't run any emission stuff I would think they would fit.

I thought the passenger side flange was real funny on '94+ headers? Or am i thinking about the later cars?

I did some reading and the studs are different diameter, also the diameters are off 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 . Anyway that is what i got out of it!!
