So my passenger side window has been stuck down for a week or so now. I had the window down and when I went to put it up there was nothing just has stayed down since. The window did go up kind of slow and would somewhat move back and forth until it was to the top when it did work in the past. Is it for sure the power window motor? You have to slam the passenger side door somewhat hard to get it to shut all the way and didnt know if maybe that could have just knocked something loose. Is there anyway to test the motor itself? I plan on taking off the door panel to put in some speakers sometime this week anyways, just wondering if it could be anything else before I buy a new power window motor. Thanks in advance for any help.

take a jumper pack and two nails to probe the prongs on the motor where the wires plug in.if it moves the motor is good. also use a test light to check for a hot and then a ground somtimes one of those wires can break where it goes through the door from the cowl inside that rubber boot.

hey tyler, That happend to me one other time with the passenger side. I just fiddle with the switch and it went up after a few tries. I don't know if its a bad spot in the motor or switch going bad but that should get it back up. and that "door slam" lol damn new weather stripping.. you don't have that thing out in the snow do ya???

I gotcha, its been too cold to do much with it but I'll try and mess with the switch a little bit later. No way has it been out in the snow lol, I took it out a few weeks ago when it was nice and its been stuck down like that since. Thanks though I'll check that switch out.

well good luck with it. feel free to pm me if anything comes up you have questions on. i know that car inside and out! Good thing is, i think the window motors are the only thing still original in the car. I replaced all the lock actuators and hatch release a while back. and just so you know i still miss that car everyday. i got way too many pics of it around!
