I just have the Bose 321 system. Nice crisp sound, but not a lot of base. Sounds great though if you are going to use it in a small space.

Bose, is the best sound and best warranty.

Not sure about warranty but as far as sound, a person can do much better with less money. Bose is the "Monster Cable" of speakers....a product of incredible marketing. Go to about any high end audiophile site and see what the professionals/experts say about Bose.

Up stairs I have a Kenwood Home Theater in a box set up with a. In the family room I have a Onkyo SR-705 Reciever with a Polk 5.1 set-up. We are getting ready finish the basement. I am planning to use the newer version of the same Onkyo reciever but I haven't decided between in-wall/ceiling speakers and free standing ones just yet.

I would go in wall Cameron. Those type speakers have come a long way, it does limit your room rearranging options though. Im with you on the Bose speakers Rich, they are okay speakers but if you go into a real audiophile store you will soon learn what you have been missing. I did like my 901's for filling large rooms with sound

I am kind of leaning that direction but I keep going back and forth. I agree also on the Bose stuff. Well marketed but for the price you can definitely do better.

Fischer Sound Shaper 2.1......

It's what I had from 1985 and is now my garage radio. I've replaced it with a Pioneer 5.1 a few years ago and my son has commendered it for his game room. He has an X-box, X-box 360, a PS2 and DVD player all going through the receiver and then the 360 is tied into my computer network so he has access to all of my music now too. No real theater for me since I spend my money on my son and cars first

When I bought my sub, I got a great deal on my Earthquake. If I was buying again, it would be a SVS Sub. Amazing product and great price.

I actually just ordered new stuff yesterday. I ordered a Onkyo 607 receiver. It is 7.1 and can accept audio and video through HDMI. I plan on hooking up the HD cable DVR, the XBox 360, and a Samsung Blu Ray player. I also ordered a Polk 5.1 set. My old setup was just a Samsung HTIB. The house we bought came with 2 Klipsch in wall speakers that are mounted up high above the TV, so they will be used as the front high speakers for the 7.1. I will post back how it sounds in a few days.

To run that amplifier before clipping it would take a mass amount of power. It said it's rated at 2700wrms.

CUL rating on a 15 amp cord@120V 1440 watts
UL rating on a 15 amp@120V cord 1800watts
CUL rating on a 20 amp@120 cord 1920w
UL rating on a 20 amp@120 cord 2400w

Amp eff. 32-92%???

says power consumption is 400w. Trust me with that big am amp you won't need to lean on it very hard. Like I said my buddy has one and if hits HARD, and he really is not even pushing it.

Crazy breaker breaking power, lol. Sorry to question it but I've never seen a home use subwoofer powered by such a large amplifier. I wonder what it's capable of,hehe.:bigthumb
