HnR Block can kiss my butt!! They tell me the IRS rejected my elec file.

So, after 4 calls over 4 days. I call the IRS. Turns out they never received my return.

Call HnR back, it is a server error on their end and they can't file it. So, refund taken, turbo tax online, 5 hours later, IRS accepted my return!

It just pisses me off that I almost ended up taking 6-8 weeks

I've used tax act online for 8 years and never once had a problem. Screw H&R Block

Had problems with them before too. I always use Turbo Tax now and have had no problems. Received my return in 8 days just like it said I would.

I use tax act. The best way to find out what to use is go to tax.irs.gov
Never pay anyone to do your state or local you can do them on tax.ohio.gov

Got my fingers crossed now. Just did mine on HRBlock.com today. i actually did them on HR and turbo tax. Once I got them both to show the same refunds, HR let me efile them both. Turbotax said I had to mail them in.

No offense or anything, but why doesn't everyone do it online through the irs? It's free and we got our direct deposited into our account in no time. Unless your return is more complex I guess....

I have mine done by a professional. I get the fullest amount of deductions legally entitled to me. To me its worth spending alittle to get more back. I used to do my own till I realized how much I was giving away.

We did our taxes through turbotax again this year. I e-filed my state tax return on Feb 1 and got our return direct deposited on Feb 8. We had to paper file our federal return because of the first time homebuyer credit. I'm patently waiting for that money to come in. Hopefully it doesnt take too long.

I'm with you. Our taxes are complicated and I feel better using an accountant I trust.

I just hope no one on here is payig H&R block (or any other place) to file a 1040 EZ. The last time I had one I was able to do it by phone in a few minutes for free.

I've used TurboTax for 5 years no problems and it was $69 total and I'll have it back in 8-12 days.
My brother-in-law paid H&R Block $275 last year said he'd never do that again!
