Probably not in the catalog yet, I'm guessing the price for the crate version will be close to 10k....

Does it share any design/components of the previous DOHC we all know and love? Or is it a horse of a completely different color?

Supposedly a completely new engine from the ground up, which is supposed to be the first engine specifically designed for the Mustang alone. It was also designed with Ecoboost and direct fuel injection which will come later on down the road. Can you imagine a twin turbo version of this engine? I'm thinking that might be the next R model.

I thought it was in the Australian Fords first? like the Falcon (which we should totally have here already)

Congratulations. You guys going to run the stock intake or try to get your hands on the intake used on the Grand-Am GS 302R 5.0 Mustangs?

According to one of the mags, it's a completely new engine but it is built with the current machines and on the same assembly lines as the current 4.6 which is said to have reduced cost and made development faster. I'm sure it'll end up in the F150 eventually along with an SUV and probably the next generation Crown Vic if there is one.

read about it in car and driver this week. Really neat stuff they came up with. Instantly thought of a few years down the road where they'll be more and more readily available. Would be neat to stick in a fox body.

waiting on dyno vid's...but they are tooling the machining process on these the same as the truck engine. its like the 6.2, but its not. the intake port runners are way off compared to the older dohc stuff.

wish i had one to slap in a fox chassis, and play with from stock form on up to see what she can do.

For now we are going to see what we can get out of the stock intake and then go from there. We have the motor set in now. Motor mounts are fabbed and now working on trans mount to accept a few different setups. stay tuned . . .
