Paid over $125 for it....trade for a set of aftermarket upper and lower control arms or sell for $80.
This is a precision 1/24 die cast model from the Franklin Mint of the 1968 Shelby GT 500. This is a premiere Signature Edition that is signed by Carroll Shelby. The Limited Edition number of this piece is #22 of 3,500 produced. This is a VERY RARE collector vehicle.
This model is the dream of Carroll Shelby. It combined Ford's drag champion engine, the 428 Cobra Jet with Shelby's GT 500 road car. The 428 gave this vehicle tire shredding power making it "King of the Road."
The optional fiberglass ram air hood and Lucas fog lights combined with its fastback rear end and traditional Shelby taillights gave this car a sleek, mean look from bumper to bumper. The interior features wood grain combining racing and luxury in a unique fashion that sacrificed neither comfort or performance.
The hood and doors open and the trunk opens and closes. On the chasis is the Limited Edition Plaque which lists this vehicle as #22 of 3,500 produced.
The car sports a beautiful Green paint job. The interior is Black. The paint is shiny and bright and in mint condition.
The steering and suspension are operable too.
