c4 bellhousing?

I bought a c4 for my car and got a bellhousing with it. my issue is that I got a little bellhousing so I bought the smaller flex plate to go with it but the bellhousing doesnt mount to the outside bolts but it lines up perfect with the inside ones? is this because its a smaller bellhousing? or is this just wrong Lol? thanks for the help in advance.

Case fill vs pan fill. I personally don't mix and match bellhousings between the two.

Yes you can just use longer bolts to mount it through the pump.
