The transmission in my parents 2005 Ford 500 has went to crap. They are in need of a replacement so I thought I might try and see if anyone has one or has seen a 500 in a boneyard recently.

My dad bought a 500. Had it 1 month and the trans locked up 3 times. The dealer took it back as a lemon and he got a f150 instead. Good luck with the search.

Call strickers. they will tell you if they have one or not.

Apparently it is a common problem, car has about 90k on it now and never beat on.


Call strickers. they will tell you if they have one or not.

I will tell him to try. Most of the places around here do not seem to get that new of cars.

Strickers from what i have seen gets lots of new cars. i got a motor from an 07 escape last year from another bone yard. you gotta find one wrecked hard in the back end:)
