you know how big of a deal it is to do something like that im new to bikes so i really dont know i would like to know what motors would go in this bike

I'm pretty sure the older 1000 motors will go in. They changed the frame on the 9's in 98 and got rid of the under tubes. So the newer 9 and 12 motors actually hang in it like a gsxr or R1/R6 does. I'm sure with some fabrication you could shove one in there. Hell I was gonna shove a busa motor in my 02 1k before I had the 1k motor built...
