all of the gaskets you need should be from 96-98 except the intake, that will have to be a 2000 . hope that helps.

this gasket kit is used quite often

also check this guy for other components and matching timing gears if you are doing Romeo cams. he knows his 4.6 stuff. I run his Stage 2 heads and will soon be running his custom turbo cams

Yeah that is a great write up. I remember seeing that a year or two ago and thinking that it would have been great to have when we were doing the swap on my car.

just as an FYI. Take a Ad from the Muscle Mustang or 5.0 Mustang and show Advance Auto Parts the price of the kit. They will price match it and sell it for that price and you will have the intire kit and sometimes including the bolts for like $125. This is from the oil pan to intake.

One other thing before I get off here,on the 96 heads there is a bracket that's on top of the cams but on 2000gt there isn't one?is there suppose to be one there?

you should notice a big bump in power as long as the rest of the motor is fine. check your valvetrain components for wear. the tube does need chamging to a pi one. there should be a part # out there for it. what brackets are you talking about? the npi had girdles attached to the caps where the pi style had individual caps.

I believe you are talking about the cam bearings. On the 96 cam bearings they are two parts. The fist four bearings (if I remember right) are connected looking like a main girdle. and the same for the back ones.

Just use what the heads came with. Ford figured out later that the PI Heads didn't need that extra support.

You order the tube from Ford. Or get it off of a wrecked PI car. We notice about 45 hp on most PI swaps, after tuning. That's an average, so some are a little hihger, some are a little lower.

Take a look and call the closest to you. I used your zip in Williamsburg to get the distance. Looks like strickers is the closest but I would call them to make sure that they still have the tube. I would say that they would sell it to you. Just ask.

UH I have a RH (passenger side) head like new with box. Has zero miles on it. I have been trying to give it a good home for about a year. You interested? Came straight from Ford. Got a really good price on it as well. $125.00. PM me if you are serious. I do not have pictures. You should know what a new head looks like. The price is the price and is more than fair. In fact you come to the Quaker S/L and hang out this Saturday night3/27 @ 5:00pm and I will bring it with me so you can see it there. Bring cash if you want it after seeing it. See ya.

When nxcoupe and I did the PI swap on my car I think we picked up between 70 and 80 RWHP. I say "think" because we didn't get it on the dyno before we started but it was completely stock and most completely stock cars I have seen make between 180 and 190 at the wheels. After the swap with long tubes and a off road H pipe and nothing else it made 259 to the wheels.
