I just replaced the entire bottom end with a forged stroker kit installed by d&d and replaced the cylinder head with used 2004 heads. I doubt its from the bottom end but who knows i started the engine for the first time sat and it heard a immediate pinging. Could be the heads dont know any one else had this issue or have any suggestions.

Prolly the lifters making noise.That happens on the first startup.Id start it again and let it run for a few more seconds.Itll go away.

I agree. When the mod motors sit for a while they will sound like there knocking as the lifters collapse a little. This is normal. Let it run for a few minutes.
