If I dont put the turbo kit on the stang right now and just put on the gt 40 heads and an explorer intake what size injectors should I run? Will stock injectors work? I am running out of money dont konw if I'll be able to do the turbo kit till fall.

i would say you should be fine with 19 lb injectors, but i wont after what we just went through ... we ran out of fuel at 308 rwhp and 5100-5200 rpms ... fuel pressure is over 60lbs

did any fords come with 24's I could go snag at a junk yard and a meter to go with it from an old lincon or somethin?

You could also run stock injectors and cheat a tad by incresing the base fuel pressure. I change my fuel pressure amounts quite a bit depending if I am running on the street, idling doing a timing tune, track time, gas octane amount, it really works on my FAST system with 83 lb injectors.

I would personally go with #24 injectors. If you plan on doing anything else, why not save the trouble now. But 19s will work with that combo.

I have 42's for the future just didn't know if I would need to step up just with the heads and intake

all of the explorer/mountaineer and mod motor fuel injectors plug in differently ... yes they are 24's, but they dont work on fox body's ...

like i said before, spend $100 on used 24's ... 19's (may) be enough, but in my case they were not ... if you call 60lbs of fuel pressure and not able to take your car over 5100 rpms enough fuel, then get the 19's ...

If you have the money for the Injectors now, just buy the bigger ones.Itll be worth it in the long run, even if you dont have your turbo setup just yet.
I did it for my Notch.I have 60 pounders on it right now.No turbo just yet.

I have the turbo setup and the 42's and a 255lph pump. I just dont think ill be able to have enough money to get my meter, and the car tuned just yet.So I thought I would just stud it, and put the heads on and the intake on and run it N/A for a while till I save up some more cash to get it tuned and buy the meter. I suppose I'll just let her sit till I have enough. I'm not gonna go buy 24's just to run it a couple of months.O well ,thanks for the help guys!
