Well after last friday, if you saw. I am going to speed up the process of buying a gear.

my question is 3.73 or 4.10 i dont care about gas mileage at all its not my Daily driver. i dont plan on running street tires at the track very often so whats going to be better???

i have a H/C/I 302 if that makes you lean one way or the other. Im thinking 4.10 but not sure.

get a gear calculator and find out which gear will get you closest to redline at the top of your 1 to 1

I would say 4:10's unless you plan on going FI in the near future.

I have had both and I really liked the 373. 410 was fun but ran outta gear fast. I also found the 373 to be a bit better as a street/ strip car.

I have 3:73's Kev and I like them but I've got a buddy with 4:10's and he says there's not much difference at high way speed maybe a couple hundred rpm I'd do the 4:10's

at 60mph... with a 4.10, your car will be at 2,500rpm with a 5 speed.... with a 3.73 it will be at 2,000rpm... I've had both. If it's primarily going to be a track-whore then just put a 4.10 in it. The difference is only a few tenths of a second anyway if that depending on how you drive. Or go balls out and get a 4.30 :bigthumb

I'm doing 3.73's in the hatchback only because I plan to make that a car that can ALSO drive a long distance to car shows and not annoy the crap out of me... but the Lincoln is getting 4.10's :D

I would say that a 4.10 would be sick, but i personally like 355 as a good street gear. (Kevin stop bein such a dick and show me how this website works lol)

running a 4.10, if i was staying n/a i'd be 4.30's for sure, maybe even 4.56's modulars like gear more though

hell, my gt500 had 4.10's making over 500rwhp

my 99 was running 4.30's making 568, but we were spinning it to 7600 lol

Get 4.30's and a g-force trans...59 5th...best of both. Lol

I had 4.10's with a regular 5th...its not bad.

Its a crap shoot...I ran 12.80's for a long time with stock axles and power shifting a stock t-5...when I did the 40's and cam I put the g-force in and did 11.8's on stock axles, launching at 6000 on slicks. I finally broke one and put 31's in. Your coupe is light so that will help.
