1986 capri 427 with a vortech v7

1986 mercury capri rs t-top car,mini tubbed,ford 9 inch with 3.50 gears moser spool and axles.all chassis and cage work done at k&m welding in martinsville ohio,it has a funny car cage,thu floor anti-roll bar with strange 10 way coil overs in rear,front is all qa1 tubular with strange 10 way adjustable struts,engine is a 427 c.i built by barker engines in batavia,after market 4 bolt block,all eagle rotating assembly,custom diamond pistons with ring land down .450.custom bischof cam,super victor intake with a custom blow thru carb done by kevin at csu,kooks 2 inch primary with 3.5 collector,vortech v7 ysi with renagade bracket and a kurgan brace putting 20 lbs of boost,custom drive shaft done at b&t shaft,billet specialties comp 5 wheels,wilwood brakes front and back,the engine made 1270 hp at 6250 rpms and 1140 ft lbs of torque,dynoed at pumphies,th400 gm tranny with custom converter, tore out a c4 on the first pass at national trail last year in columbus,i hope this year is a lil better,wanting my first 8 second pass.lil nervous though i will admitt.

I had a 1984 capri with a 306 in it and a 5-speed and and 355 gear's and that car would fly,,also it had mac shorty header's and bbk x pipe and one chamber flow's dumped..and ssp black ten holes on it.T-top too. It had the fat back hatch but I changed it to a 1988 mustang hatch with no wing.And it also had the hood scoop.I sure miss that car.

its got a drive shaft out of a 4 wheel drive it dont have no power 2 do shit that why its called 1 sadd 86 that car should run 8.50 easy 1078 is far from that he dont want 2 race it because he dont what people 2 make fun of him . u know what my car did run 11.11 and melted the vavles and it did boom boom but i got the balls 2 race it and the cash 2 fix it so when my 03 cobra block is back and i put it in with a little boost we will see where that 1 sadd 86 is .

I know the bubble hatch is one of the biggest things that make a carpi stand out while sitting next to a mustang. But when i put a mustang hatch on my capri MAN IT LOOKED BETTER. JMO.
