fuel pumps

i am about done with advance auto i put a fuel pump in my explorer start it one time drove it around the block and parked it i went to go out later and had nothing i checked i have power back to the pump and no pump i'm tired of doing this.

may be connection at the sending unit. ive seen that on fords alot,.

My brothers 86 GT did the same, the fuel pump would only last a few days. After 3 pumps , we found a small bare spot in the wire in the tank. It was shorting against the pick up tube and killing the pump.

i didn't find any bair spots on the wire i think i just got a bad one. i hope it last a while i have to buy the next one they won't give me any more
