I've googled but cant really find much on it, I've got a set of 4V B-heads off a 4.6 dohc and I'd like to try and port them and clean them up to get them to flow very well... anyone got any pics or tips to help me out? Also, what kind of bits are needed to cut thru aluminum and not clog the bit?
Also, is there anything else I could do to them? Unshroud valves? blend the bowls? I'd like to learn this stuff...

If the heads are from a Cobra or a later model mark 8 there isn't much unshrouding that can be done. The reason is that the combustion chamber is already the size of the bore. If the heads are from an early mark 8 the space betwee the intake valves can be worked to provide some unshrouding.
As for porting, the only work that needs to be done to B heads is some bowl and short turn work and opening up the exhaust to the size of the 03/04 exhaust ports. The intake ports are already too big, don't make them any bigger.

They can be made to work but you're better off with any of the 4.6 C heads.
Send me your email address, I'll send you some pics of the aluma burrs and other stuff needed to port aluminum.
