I switched from a 7.5 to an 8.8. Also added upper and lower control arms summit brand..my sway bar looks low. it actually hangs a lil bit below the rear diff.. is the sway bar different for the 8.8 vs the 7.5..

Changing over to disc also.. Heard alot of guys are not runinng the quad shock at all...should i move the quad shock mounts or just do without. Went with kyb gas adjust, eibach lowering springs.

I'd toss them. You can run wider wheels too :)

Buddy of mine sent me a picture of his freshly installed summit control arms. It was the uppers and lowers together that were on clearance.
H/C/I 347 on a set of street tires.
And this is what happened.....

I'd remove the quads but keep them...on some cars even with aftermarket arms you still get wheel hop and they're getting hard to find if you ever decide to put them back on. If you're not running super wide tires there's no real reason to take them off.

Do you have the sway bar on correctly? or is it flipped? If you run aftermarket arms with correct pinion angle there shouldnt be a need for the quad shocks, i would remove them but dont toss them, most of them are trashed anyway

Why do we not get a notice on replys,, or are to check every time we logg on ?? I kept the quads because I am not running bigger tires right now,, the sway bar is not flipped I made sure it was not that, flipped it and it was worse lol. .. I will have to take a pic and post it... But I will sure be checkin the welds out.. I have to admit I did not read the instructions,, knew how to put em on so on they went...I do not recall the advertisement on summits page saying anything about 400 hp, but i will double check that also.. Will be goin with a 150 shot and progressive controller So eventually I will be over 400 for sure... will have 30 over, performer rpm 2, thumper heads, mac headers, and a lunati cam, 2800 stall b&w, aod with a bauman electronics shift kit, 3.73 motive, 8.8 4 lug with disc conversion,, ford traction lock diff.. oh,, and a partridge in a pear treeeeeeee lalalala !!!
Adv. Duration: 281°/281°
Gross Lift: .512''/.512''
RPM Range: 2000-5500

Never had any trouble with summit brand but like i say,, stay tuned, will check it out...
