Pretty badass...these cars don't mess around. Headers and full exhaust, a cold air intake and dyno tune and it put down 405hp at the wheels and 375tq...that's 465hp and 431tq at the crank...don't get me wrong i love the Terminator 4.6's but DAMN that's all motor, just wait until some nasty cams and ported heads come out for these engines. I'm betting this car still passes echeck too.

I don't think it says what mufflers are on it but man they sound good. Definitely different than the 4.6 and old 5.0.

Gotta like yankin the front left wheel on a car with minimal mods lol. I'm just waiting for the guys in these cars to come picking on the older cars....Cant wait for my 3.4 Whipple this winter...hehehe

Yeah i'm pretty sure that's still with a full interior and all the toys. Imagine what this motor alone will do in a 2800lb fox. I'm betting high 10s with low 60 foots and it's tame enough to drive every day in summer heat with no problem and still get decent mileage.

You can do the same thing with a homemade single turbo kit on a foxbody that light. The pricetag for this crate motor is about $7k the last I heard. Thats a lot of dough for 400 hp.

Yeah i'd never buy a new one...i'm thinking more along the lines of 5 years from now when you can find them totalled in junkyards :D

From what I have heard that power and ET's are being had without the ability to tune the twin variable cam timing. Should be interesting what can be done once that portion is sorted out. One thing that hasn't been mentioned as far as I know is what octane fuel they have been using so far. The motor is 11:1 compression and would really respond well to a bit of 100 octane unleaded I would imagine.

im pretty sure they come with a factory coil over setup. He may have removed the wheel wells or something. Also we dont know if the k member is removed or seats and trunk stuff etc. It could be lightened up some.

These new 5.0's are not playing at all. There ready to kick some azz. And the car sound's sick also. Sound's so sweet. Boost one of these sucker's and it's all bad for the vette boy's.

Look at the dyno graph again. The hp is till climbing at 6700 rpm:bigthumb. The ole 4V Cobras peaked at about 6200. 11.60's could be had with some better driving. I'd love to have one of these to play around with.

id rather boost it than spray it but the 11.1 compression might not like that. def badass tho

It's probably way too early for this but does anyone know if the block has stroker capabilities or are the cylinders too close together like the 4.6 is? I can only imagine a DOHC 347 with custom cams and ported heads.

Won't take 5 years for them to end up totaled. There will be a lot of them totaled. That much power and the handful of dumbass's the drive the.

Sweet cars though. Ready to go test drive one. :)

The new 5.0 mod motor is no joke! Should have rolled that out in back in 1996!

Strokers have nothing to do with the bore spacing. You mean boring out the cylinders I assume? No you can't do that. Ford got rid of the cylinder liners used in the alumiunum block and went with a spray bore to get those extra 21 cubes. The 6.2L engine going into the SVT Raptor has the larger bore spacing everyone has been waiting for.

I may be way off here, but I didn't think these Coyote 5.0's were "mod motors" as we know them today. It was my understanding that this is a completely new redesign. The real test would be to see if any mod motor engine parts are compatible with these "new" motors?

Still the same bore spacing and deck height as a 4.6L. In my opinion, it's just a modified 4.6L block with new heads and valvetrain. BTW, "mod" never implied anything with parts interchangability, it had to do with the manufacturing processes.

Well it was my understanding that the you can't bore the 4.6 out very far because the cylinders are so close together you end up with too little meat between the cylinders. That plus the crank being so far up inside the block makes it hard to get any kind of stroke out of it. No?
