Not dead yet just dormant lol. I really wish you guys would read before posting. Its posts with titles like this that DO end up killing a series.

If im able to bring it back to KK it'll definately be run on a Saturday. We've talked about it being a paid in show as some other series do. Track guarantees the purses but we'd need to guarantee them X amount of cars. I dunno, there are a lot of details to be worked out yet and i would have to cut back to about 3 classes to be on a Sat but Sundays definately did not work out for us. Around this area, the bracket programs makes the tracks so much money they wont give up a Saturday to a rental and i dont blame them. Thats why i tried the Sunday deal. Im not even sure this area will support heads up racing anymore unless its a one time a year kinda thing. Maybe just a class or two but nothing like i was hoping to see happen. Ive also been told that a lot of the local racers didnt like the pro tree, since most of the locals are bracket guys, i can understand why they wouldnt want to switch.
If & when i do a show at No Limit, it will be all 1/4 mile. Thats another thing thats been hard to bring to this area, 1/8th mile. I can come up with a million reason why this didnt work here. No one to blame, i just chalk it up to a learning experience that got me in debt lol. I still wouldnt change it for anything and im glad i had the ability to even try to do something like this.
Good luck to the gang at TH! They need support and id love to see something work around here.

Its amazing that 1/8th mile is so popular south of the Mason Dixon Line but has never made its way north. Sundays work well for me from a spectating point of view but I can see why guys that are traveling quite a ways may not like it. I think it would be awfully diffiucult to get it down to just 3 classes. If if there is nothing for me to race in I would like to see it succeed at Kilkare on a Saturday because the 8.5" and radial cars are a lot of fun to watch.

Its very hard for guys even a few hours out to make a sunday only race. Unless they are dedicated to one series and take time off from work. We do this with NMRA but OSM is just not big enough to warrant that lol. Id rather it get scaled down and be a tiny bit successful than try to make something big work again that simply wont around here. OSM needs a total retooling to make it work in this area. And if i go anywhere else, ill have to adjust to fit the majority in those areas as well. I dont have a prob doing any of that, it'd just be nice to have something work out haha. What i really need to do is just buy a track. When a track run event goes bad, they can fall back on their other events to make it up, when my events go bad i owe more money.

Man, that sucks! I really enjoyed going to these races and I hope you can sort something out. I didn't get to go, this past weekend. Way too much to do, around the house.
I was just looking at the latest National Dragster today and it had all the winners list from April in it.
Best of luck, Kelly. I know you're trying!

Got it. It may, or may not have gravy stains on it, however.

Kelly, is there absolutley no way of moving it back to E2O?I was looking forward to some 6.50 stuff anyways and E20 is much closer :D ..I just though there was a much bigger turn out at E20 with the OSM there ....

I'm in!! Now that would be cool, for sure, to have your own track!!
Kelly, I am sorry thing did not work out, but IF, I say IF, you ever do E20 agian, maybe we can get together on something. KK is just too far for me and my "crew" that come out to the fund raiser. But E20 is close and so is Thornhill, but they only can run 1 day.:(

Thornhill sounds like a good place for some racing

There are some things we lack, scoreboards and multiple racing days for instance. We are really trying hard to bring things "up to speed" however. The timing system is brand new as of last season. We've just repaved the return road, it's smooth and still has that deep black. We're prepping the track to the 1/8 mile finish each Saturday instead of just the 330 like we used to. The rubber is starting to come in nicely down there. The launch pad gets gets cleaned before each race and properly prepped. We don't over-spray the track and we know what it takes to make a track hook. We do have problems, like any other track, but are working hard to make it a better place to race.
We'd love to have you down to try us out :)
