do i need a driveshaft spacer when doing a t-5 to 600 swap? 93 mustang and it has alum. driveshaft. thanks

ive heard that i do and that i dont. now im just confused. some say that 93 is give or take. thanks

pretty positive u dont...might need to change the yoke on the drive shaft tho

I don't recall anything special being involved on my 3550, but I didn't really help much with that. I was a kid and my brother did most of the work.

no you don't. all you need to do is break the welds on the crossmember and slide it forward to get the bolts to go in the trans and that is it. i put one in my 91 with the same aluminum shaft that i had in a c-4. you do have to change the yoke on the shaft that goes into the trans if i remember right.

cool thanks, i got an aftermarket cross, slip yoke, bell housing, and clutch disc. also a tri ax shifter. just wasnt sure about the spacer. thanks for the help.

sorry, just saw this, yeah, slide the crossmember full rearwards, that will clear the tailshaft housing. No spacer on a 93 down fox, 94/95 require a spacer because you use a std length bellhousing with the tremec. 500's use the larger C6 style output shaft, so it requires a larger yoke. Should go right together.
