Steering issue 06 GT

my wife turning into the gas station and the steering wheel pops. now it seem that the steering wheel is getting stuck when turning and makes a sound in steering column. What the heck this sucks. :mad:

Believe there is a TSB on it from ford.

Might check the nuts that hold the rack an pinion to the frame. My Ranger was doing that, for some reason loosened themselves up??? I drive it like a racecar most the time. Put some locktight on them, tightened them and has been fine for the last few months. Just a suggestion...

it seems like the issue is from column inside the car. The plastic behind steering wheel has a big gap.

found out what happened. a screw from who knows where came lose and was getting jammed in behind the air bag. it is fixed now and working like a champ. :)
sometime the stupid little things are most aggrevating.

Congrats fella! I think my problem was from jumping the railroad tracks everyday on my way to work lol.

I hear the same but she's my beater truck. Always feel like I'm on the motocross track when I drive lol
