i search around and did find much on this, So here goes. I need to replace the cable in my 93 gt and im going to buy a stock oem one from what i read on here. My main question is is there any diffrence on the quadrants? Is a cheap one the same as a steady or bbk? Whats the deal?

Thanks guys:bigthumb

I just replaced the cable and quadrant in my 89 coupe, still had the originals at 119,000 miles. Went with the Ford Racing quadrant & adjustable cable.

I think most of the quadrants are the same (BBK,Steeda,Ford Racing etc), but stay with a Ford or Ford Racing cable. Well except for the Fiore or Forte (sp.) quadrant, which looks a little different and releases quicker I think.

I've used a few other off brands of cables and they seem to either be too long or the cable doesn't slide thru the sheath very smoothly.

Get a Promotion quick release, firewall adjuster and brace, and a stock cable. You should like the way the clutch feels then.
