Purchased this car November 07. It had 3988 miles on it. My wife came home from visiting her family and found out that the 02 yellow GT Mustang has turned into this Sunday morning when I backed it out of the garage. "So are you going to keep this one for more than 2 years?", She said. That was almost 3 years ago.

This is the car sitting on the lot the day before I bought it.

This is after adding the graphite gray stripes in 2008.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz347/redfirepearlgt/supercharger_body.jpg
Then came the need to get stupid with some long saved OT checks. A 2300cc Saleen twin screw pushing 7psi tuned by Brenspeed. Final result 426RWHP @ 409lb/ft Torque. My wife still doesn't know about this purchase or I'd be dead where I sit.

The idea was to keep the car looking like a stock GT Mustang to catch people off guard. Kind've a "Wow that's no ordinary stock mustang.", idea. That was fun for a while. But people never took notice except at the track.

That has since gotten boring so the next pics will show latest upgrades which include finished install of the Supercharger, pics of the McLeod RST twindisk clutch and Spec flywheel installed by Cincyspeed (thanks Adam, Blake, and Craig), Hurst Pro Comp shifter and interior kit (on the car when I bought it), Steeda LCA's, and 18" GT500 wheels all the way around. Don't worry purist fans, I have ordered and replaced the SVT center caps with GT logo center caps.

Thanks for looking.

I love it!!!! Best big item purchase I ever made. I old friend of mine who is a "old school" hot rodder went with me for a ride when I first got it last summer. The look on his face when I hit the 6300 mark and snatched second and on through the gears to fourth was in itself worth every dime I paid for it. The unit has just enough of a growl to get attention without saying, "HEY I HAVE F/ ON MY CAR!!!!"

Spoke recently to several places about cams. That's next I think. Detroit Rocker makes a pair with a S/C grind that has a great lope in idle and the nsmooths out at low throttle for drivability. Makes anothe 30-35 at the rear wheels they are showing on similar configs as this one.

Hey Bud!!!! I am going to try to make it up. That is my goal. I am back up in Elkhart working today and Friday but am planning on getting an early start so I can get back clean up the car a bit and put the centercaps on the wheels before I head over to Milford. Willtry to bring Kim and Shelby with me. Are you bringing the fam-damily? Just think a baby seat in the back of a Cobra SVT terminator - Covertible. Almost sounds oxymoron. HMM! Just kidding. Give me a holler on the old telecellular sometime tomorrow. I forgot to save your number on mine. All that technology wasted, LOL!!!

I think the GT500 wheels look good on it, but I think you will quickly find the stock tires aren't much good :) If you keep it around it should be fun

I've heard similar statements on the F1 GY. They only had 500 miles on them and for the price, I couldn't say no. Did not want to go to an 18 wheel, but there are too many limitations for the S197 tire wise if you wish to stay with the standard 27" height. The edge body like your Mach has many 17" selections since it uses a 26' (actually 25.5") tire series which has a much wider range of widths in the same tire height (overall diameter). The biggest I could find width wise without losing wheel height was 255 series. These 285 series will be a night and day difference in comparison to the 235 I am guessing, but as you and others have said when compared to tires in the same size I will likely be looking to Nitto for the future. Then again I am an older fart (LOL) so my days of big burn outs and fish tailing down Glenway Avenue are almost (but not quite) behind me. Thanks for the comment. Sorry I missed you at the cruise in. Heard you were there but didn't see the Mach so didn't who to look for. Have a great mem weekend.

Don't think the family will make it out with me. Wires not to much into car shows. I also haven't picked up a base foe the car seat yet. Maybe I'll bring one of my dogs.

Thanks Shannon. I got the GT cneter caps in today and put them on. THat really cleaned the look up more. Drove it to Milford tonight and noticed a need to have them balanced but couldn't figure out why. Then it dawned on me. These are off a 2007 and the owner likely pulled the TPMS sensors out of the rims to put on his/her replacements which would really through them out of whack. So I will be taking them to be balanced tomorrow.

Thanks BIll. I took it this morning and had the wheels balanced and sure enough the problem went away. The TPMS sensors had to have been removed which I didn't need anyway. Car runs smooth up through 75 and possibly beyond without incriminating myself. :) Hope to see you donw at St. Cecilia's Sunday. Chad

The clutch (McLeod RST twin disk) is smoothing out on engagment after about 70 miles of drive time. Had to test it just ever so lightly this AM. It holds awesome. The pedal feels stock if not possibly a little lighter. The engagement height is about 2/3's release whic his slightly higher than the factory, but better if you are looking to speed shift a tthe track. McLeod states engagement on a proeprly bled slave cylinder should be 1/2 to 3/4 release. There is a slight noise if the car is below 1500 RPM in second and you give it normal gas pedal to speed back up, but nothing I would consider abnormal. Engagement is very smooth already. I have no doubts that the extra money spent was well worth the return. No concern of the slave cylinder giving out since it is under no more apparent pressure (based on pedal feel) than it was on the stock clutch and pressure plate. Thanks for the help on the decision Shannon, Kevin Nickison, and Craig @ cincy speed.

And finally a little traction assistance from the boys at Steeda, which may be coming off since one of the poly bushings has split apparently. Won't make a Steeda mistake twice. Saw the BMR series and the bushing is twiceas nice. The tube for the bolt has twice the wall thickness as the Steeda and the units have zerk fittings to lube the LCA's properly. Not impressed with the overpriced Steeda stuff anymore. Sometimes paying more doens't mean quality.

I wouldn't have put those GT centercaps to make "purists" happy, now they look like knock off gt500 wheels when they're the real thing! It's your car bud, do with it what you want. The car looks great btw!

It was to make me happy as well. I don't advertise what I don't have. Liked the looks of the wheels, and the price was right. The "purist" comment was in jest. It wasn't serious. Just a cheap shot across the bough so to speak. Thanks for the feedback.

Not a problem, sorry if I came off sour or anything like that. I love the look of your car, and I do agree that the centercaps look cleaner. I was just hoping you didn't do that for someone else to be happy.

BMR makes good stuff. I'm going with them or Spohn when I start working on my suspension. I'm still bone stock! lol.
