i have a explorer intake, plan for 70mm tb, new maf, infender cold air, and hopefully some gt 40 heads or trick flow not sure yet. i know heads and intake wont kill mileage alot. i need a cam for good mileage and low end but want more hp. not sure if an E is good or not. or which heads would be best. some time soon if i can get a gas saver and say bye bye to mileage i want to get a blowzilla kenne belle for it. any imput on this subject will be greatly appriciated:cool2:

I agree , What did your buddys push with the heads and intake ported? 330 to the wheels, Thats more than most aluminum heads push.. Well out of the box? Its hard to believe how the gt40 stuff is so cheap and so easy to make nice power, Wonder what kind of numbers the gt40 motor pushin 330 at the wheels what would it put down on a 200 shot? or is that to much ?

But yes , Trickflow Stage 1, also the guy with the cam for sale ( 93snake ). He is a good guy to deal with and that's a steal on the cam ..

200 shot would be wayyy too much on a stock block already making 330rwhp..

For how many passes/miles? Show me a reliable 500+rwhp setup on the stock block and I'll come kiss both your feet. And hush craig, just cause you live your life a 1000 feet at the boneyard at a time doesn't mean a 200 shot will last on a stock block 5.0.

Well I beg to differ. I had a 306 stock block, stock crank, and stock rods that I sprayed a 200 shot on for 2 years and a 150 shot on it for one year. I was putting down 523RWHP and 614RWTQ. I was using a NX wet kit with a TFS plate. I drove this thing to work every other day and wherever else. I was also driving it to the track the one whole year I was spraying a 150 on it. I just sold that motor this winter and went with a 347. That was the best damn motor I ever owned. Brandon fast5pointO on the board here owned it before I did. And he had it for a year a was spraying 125 shot on it. I was running 10's with it on spray and 12.20's N/A. And when I say I drove it to work every other day I dont mean around the corner. I mean 100 plus miles round trip each day I drove it.
Ian - if this is for the 1993 you got from me, that thing probably already has a cam in it. Just FYI...
