Ok, usually I'm not a big bitcher - I roll with the punches.... Usually!

My wife and I had Time Warner Cable the past 3 or 4 years and we decided to switch to Direct TV. We got a "final bill" from Time Warner and immediately paid it. A few days ago we got another "final bill" in the mail for $.01 (yes, that's correct, I said 1 cent!). I decided to pick up the phone and call them to see if they could just remove it rather than take the time to write out a check and use a $.044 stamp to mail the bill back in. The lady on the phone said, and I quote, "Sir, we all have to pay our bills reguardless of how much they are. Would you have called us if the bill was $10.00?" end quote. At this point I am so suprised I didn't really know what to say and advised them they would promptly receive my payment as they always do.

I figured I may as well have a bit of fun with it anyways......

Now I see why I switched to Direct TV!

Next time just tape a penny to the bill and take a picture of it . Put there addy down for the return addy and do not put a stamp on it . They will get it as returned for insufficient postage and not cost you the stamp . Or take the check and clean your ass with it and mail it to them .

The later of the 2 would probably constitute some sort of law breakage and if done using the united states postal service could becoem a federal crime, I wouldn't do that.
