I read the other day that they've spent more money trying to figure out how to salvage the oil than they have trying to fix the leak. That pissed me off.

If it were that simple to clean up they would have done it already. The longer this goes on the more it cost them and the more damage it does to their reputation.

The Oppenheimer Formula has never been used on a scale as large as this. All of the "proven" uses were relatively controlled(tankers, barges). This is not a spill, it's a gusher a mile under water. The amount of product required to treat the area effected would be staggering, factor in the currents and we just dont have enough available. I think this will be an effective remediation techinque for the coastline, however their is a lot of red tape to be cut. The focus needs to be stopping the gusher before cleanup is started, it be like mopping your kitchen floor over and over when the tub upstairs is still overflowing.:(
