I finally bought a Soda Blaster the other day and I am wanting to try it out but can't find anyone nearby who sells it. I hate to be pinned down to only ordering it off the internet, can't stand paying shipping.

I've tried looking abrasive/soda blasting on the internet/google searches but to no avail in Greater Cincy.

Anyone have any ideas where I can look in our area?

Thanks

AB does good work. They do/have done work for me in the past. Best rates around I could find. Never done carryout w/ them.

So what blaster did you end up getting?

So what blaster did you end up getting?

Ended up getting the 100 lb. hopper Soda blaster,it's an Abrasive blaster but it came with the retro fit to shoot baking soda, they go for $300+ on Eastwood but bought it off Ebay from the same seller for $261.99...lol go figure:rolleyes:
As soon as I get over to cincy to get some media I'll be blasting some stuff out at the garage me and David rented...I'm really interested seeing how this soda blaster works.
It's suppose to be better than sandblasting because it won't harm the metal, but the soda blaster won't remove rust, I've heard some say it will remove very light rust...so we'll see.

I tried the one in Florence but didn't see any...they do sell it on their web site, and waiting for an online order from HF would take over a week to get here since their main warehouse is in Cali. But if I did order some online I'd get it from Eastwood since it only takes 2 days to get here from PA.

Forgot to mention, the retro fit part that goes on the blaster, you have to remove the old hose and hardware to fit the new kit on. The problem I'm having is getting the old hose that's on there now off. I took the clamp off but the hose seems to be on very tight...any suggestions on removing a hose from a fitting? It only turns but can't pull it off.

Keep pulling really hard. You will probably have to wiggle and pull for a while, maybe let your wife do it for some practice

 Hell to the no!

It's a barbed fitting...I tried like hell tonight to wiggle it loose and it isn't budging...any tricks of the trade before I decide to cut it off?
