I could care less if my grass turns crap brown due to lack of rain. No grass to mow is another plus. The front yard would be poured in concrete and painted green if I had my way about it. AS far as heat goes, bring it on, better hot than cold. That is why man invented pop scicles.

The rain doesn't bother me, it's good for my pastures and garden. It's the angels bowling that bothers me, and the horses..

Grandma always said that those were Potato Barrels Rolling! Never knew what a potato barrel was though, assumed it was similar to a pickle barrel. LOL!!

I was and still am hopefully heading to the FCM Ford Car show in Jeffersonville, IN if the roads will dry out before 10:00am. Just never fails. I plan a weekend of car shows and cruise-ins and the rain comes. Maybe I'll get rich, by a tract of land put some horses on it and ride them like 92stang does. At least that way you can ride in the rain, and the engine bay doesn't get dirty. Of course there is the undercarraige to consider, but at least it is easy access. LOL! Now if I can only figure out the "get rich" part. My idea for De-unrinated Coffee making me a billionaire fell through. Was going to package standard coffee in a container claiming you could drink the same total cups of coffee and pee 50% less. What I wouldn't openly mention (it would be in small print) is that my claim was based on a cup being 4 oz vice 8 oz. Back to the drawing board. Oh well, plenty of time to brain scheme while it's so pleasant and moist outside.

You shouldn't use the word "rich", and owning horses in the same sentence. There's no such thing...lol. If I didn't have to feed these hayburners. I'd be the "redneck" version of beefcake, as far as mustangs go..:D

Just razzing you a bit. I have this vision of your green pastures surronded by white picket fences and barns that look like small mansions with high dollar weather vanes mounted atop them and a big sign over the entry way that says "South Fork". LOL!!!!!! Just thought I'd help you pipe dream a little bit. No doubt that it costs huge amounts of money to maintain horses.

Yeah I just had a new pole barn built at the house and need some dry weather to do the concrete . Its been up for two weeks now and nothing but rain . I live out in the sticks and generally always a few days to dry out but I will need at least a week of dry weather to get a concrete truck to the building .

hell, the last couple days ive been praying for rain. my garage is hot and if it wasnt for the fans it would be unbearable. im changing an engine in a 4.6 stang and when the sweat is rolling off your nose, you know that its too hot. im thinking of installing an a/c for my garage.

I work in these conditions all summer in non environment controlled Fab shops and plants all week long throughout the country. I can at times ring the sweat out of my under shirt. If I arrive @ 8:00 I can be soaked through to my skin by 9:00. Temps can reach 100 degrees at times, with humidity who knows where. Better this than freezingto death and dragging 80 pound tool boxes across parking lots into customer sites through snow after traveling in it by car for hours as well.

Rain does make it nice when it's hot and sticky! Everyone takes it for granted when they have thier car a/c on high in thier face. I will take rain any day over this 95 degree and 100% humidity days.
