i got the car back from the front cover gasket being fixed and it since then has been running horrible..... i can put the pedal to almost WOT and it will pull, not nearly as hard as it should but it pulls, if i floor it though say in second gear at around 3500 it is nothing it takes about 10 seconds to get from 35 to 45. turned up fuel pressure a little bit and set the timing to 12.

just wanting some opioins on what to check. im going to redo vaccume lines when i get the time and figure out what im doing. but just looking for advice on what else to possibly check.

Check your grounds. And check the orange wire that bolts to the back of the drivers head. Also check your tps

i will check that stuff out tomorrow after work! its funny i go 3/4 throttle and it pulls almost as hard as it used to but as soon as your floor it it falls on its face.

Forgot to mention it will back fire and pop too sometimes.

Unhook your timing chip and set your timing at 32. Your timing chip may be bad

Could be as simple as a crossed plug wire

Maf unplugged or bad?

True. If it is bad you can unplug it and it will run better. You could try that

i will be working late all week tom or i would bring it up after...

unplugged the mas air flow, car runs better WAY less loss of power under WOT but it would hesitate when you went to put it to the floor if you let off and got back in it it would start pulling. didnt get a chance to set timing ill have to wait there is way too many cops out right now and i dont like getting on it in mason.

Did it run good prior to going into the "shop"?

didn't run amazing but didn't have the other issues, one issue is the maf unplugged it runs alot better, but I have the fuel pressure turned up because I found a vacuum leak.

I must be reading this wrong. This makes no sense to me.

I turned the fuel pressure up a little bit, does a vacuum leak not make the car run a little more lean than it should?

Walter

Just fix the leak.

Just fix the leak.

^^^^ What Walter said ^^^^ Vac leak shouldn't take much time at all to find and fix.

Depending on how bad the leak is,that could be the whole problem

no no no not at all what im saying, i can try to drop it off soon, i think its all the MAF and the vaccume leak. i have unplugged the MAF and the loss of power is gone. im going to get my hands on a different maf and see what that does, and when i find the time fix that vaccume leak, the vac leak has been there since winter, i have known about it.

Maybe you should just drop it off to your buddy and let him go all over it instead of throwing money here and there, seeing as though he's checking it for free...

I would to but I'd say cap off your leak and change the maf. That will fix it
