I run a heavy ground to the front of the car. I dont trust a chassis ground that far. On my car I have everything important grounded to the battery via the main ground wire.

+1

I only have non essential things grounded to the frame (running lights, tail lights, etc.) My main ground runs to a grounding block, which everything runs to, including the ground wires from each head on the engine block, from there it runs to a bolt welded to the rear support, and then that is also connected to the battery.
