Any testing, dyno sheets or track times comparisons to support your claim? Or just take your word for it.

Well my turbo car was faster than your turbo car. It went a faster ET and MPH. Your car has better parts all around than mine had, other than the intake...So is that enough proof??? Like I said, you should try one!!

Mine went a 6.38 @ 110mph in the 1/8th and a 9.94 @ 140mph thru the 1/4. That was with a 1.46 60ft. The pass before that it went a 1.300 60ft and went a 6.30 @ 112 mph in the 1/8th but we shut it down early and coasted thru with a 10.80 @ like 85mph. That was probably a 9.7x pass. That was also when it was only making 550rwhp...when Metcalf got it he turned it up and it made 619rwhp but he never got a clean pass out of it. I'm not trying to be a dick...just stating facts!!!

The gas theory isn't going to work because we bolted the kit on it and backed it on the dyno with no tune and it made 540 the added fuel and it made 550 off the base tune and they stopped. We ran race gas for saftey reasons only. I got the car and had them add timing and it made 6.19 and once again stopped tuning because it was gaining hp to quick. I took it to the track to race my buddy and a injector wire came off. We started arguing and I took it home. We still have the car and its on mixed gas right now. But it only street races if you know anyone who would like to try it. The motor and tune is the same. It now has working suspension :)

im a fan of the victor 5.0 ... the lower def needs some machining, but its a hoss of an intake ... take the plenum plate off and open up that small square entry ... its a 65mm, they can go to around 80mm ...
ive read some good articles/dyno comparisons with this intake, it flat out works ... not to mention my car picked up hp, but mainly rpm ... 2 tenths / 3 mph ... its now ported, cant wait to get my new combo together ... i wont be as fast as you big turbo knuckle draggers  but hoping to run a respectable 10.xx ...

Im all for trying one, but I shift @5500. I thought that intake liked the higher rpm's. What machining is needed on the lower?

mine wouldnt fit down on the heads, stayed up about a 1/4" ... i hear that alot over on hardcore ...
i wasnt dead heading the air, but the ports were not close top to bottom ...
i dont have much knowledge towards turbo cars ... i think your systemax is working pretty good, i'd just stick with it ...

I had a ported systemmax on my procharged car and I swear to god if I could have found the money to buy a victor I would have ran it over 4 or 5 times then scrapped it.

Do all of the vacuums and wires and stuff match up with the victor? Is it plug and play basically?
93LXhatch
07-18-2010, 01:55 PM
I'm not sure I've never used it but I would assume so bc it has been used before and a lot of people on here have ran one so I'm sure its fairly simple....smack or metcalf would be the more knowledgeable persons to ask that question

Yeah its a simple swap. Funny you mention it...I just swapped one on a car lastnight. I took a performer off and threw the victor right back on. Should wake the car up quite a bit. Goodluck!

No pcv provision on the lower of the victor 5.0.
Metcalf Racing
07-18-2010, 04:24 PM
Nope no pcv. You need to vent the valve covers. But if your car is turbo you shouldn't have the pcv hooked up it should just be open to the atmosphere. If not you could really hurt it
