washed out cyl

my #1 cyl took in alot of excess fuel,and ive heard the term ,washed out cyl's
due to my flooding prob.,how do u tell when this has happened

run a compression test and see if the rings are still sealing.
when you wash the cyl. down with fuel it washes away the oil and ruins the ring seal.
