1995 Green GT Convertible "Green Envy"
So far:
MAC Pro Dumps
Cold Air
White Face Gauge kit
Smog delete (belt)
To be installed:
Cobra upper/lower
65mm TB
Shorty Headers
Pro Chamber
To buy near future:
Steeda or Eiback lowering springs
Adjustable Caster Camber plates
3.55 / 3.73 Gears
30# or 42# injectors
75+mm MAF cal'd for injectors
Adjustable Fuel Pump Regulator
255 lph Fuel Pump
To buy not so near future:
AFR 165 heads
Cam (no idea which one for afr 165's)
AODE for street/strip
N2O kit / turbo (haven't decided which one to go with yet)
=========================
The overall goal is to have a stock looking 95 GT vert that is laying down between 350-400hp to the blacktop. Not quite sure which power adder I want to use to get me there, but either one should get the job done. I have a lot of 'foundation' work to get done before considering either one anyway so until I get the basics done, I am not too worried. I think after the 'near future' mods are done, I'll get a chip and tune. But before I go any further, I would like to get a dyno to see where I am at about the 'stock' level and at various stages go back to dyno and see what gains I get from mods.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I am open!

I once knew of a little ole black LX that had a 306, with AFR 185's, Trick flow track heat intake, roller rockers, trick flow stage 2 cam, long tubes, forged bottom end except crank, 4.10's and a 175 wet shot with an intake plate that made 550Hp at the wheels on the juice :D That oughta be doable!
You're mods are VERY similar to mine, I have dumped flowmaters, CAI, 3.73's and 24# injectors, 255lph pump... along with 230,000 miles, and I made 195hp on the dyno running PIG RICH on fuel cuz I dont have my Pro-M calibrated yet to put in

Looks good. Is the intake painted in a flat black? I dont see why you couldnt get the numbers you want especially with a power adder.

Yes the upper lower and spacer are all painted flat black.

Dropped of car yesterday at MD for gear install (3.73's) and baseline. Had issues with OD button sticking due to the previous owner (or someone other than me) spilling some soda in there, so they weren't able to get the dyno pulls done.
I think I'll just wait until I get the intake/tb/headers/pro chamber installed, then have them dyno and tune it then. Would have been nice to have baseline, but oh well.
So, thanks MD for the gears, I love them!!!
Looking forward to next week when I get to install the lowering springs and cc plates with my buddy Brad (BFM Racing).
Progress is good!!!

So what did it put down on the baseline? 220whp?

^^^ what he said ^^^
I just decided to go ahead and wait until the other parts I have are installed, then I can get MD to put a chip and tune it then I'll use that as my baseline. Planning on NX proton setup or turbo in the next year or so I still have time to decide what supporting parts I need and get them. In the mean time, I'll just run what I have now and add a couple more universal mods that make sense.

Have decided to go in a little different direction with the vert... What I want it to do and what I actually bought it for are two different things. Bought this as a cruiser for weekends and got bit by the mod-bug... and it's been so damn long since I had a car I can tinker with, I kind of lost sight of the purpose of this car.
So, after I install the intake / rest of exhaust and get a chip, I am going to beef up the fuel system a bit and run a wee bit of spray (35 or 50 shot) and call it a day.
After that stuff is done, I will start saving pennies for a fox coupe / hatch to make into a street / strip car.

Big installs coming up this week!
Cobra upper / lower with 1/2" spacer
70mm bbk throttle body
headers
pro-chamber mid-pipe
spark plugs
thermostat
smog removal
egr delete
Should be a few more ponies!
After that's done, I have springs to put on (no more 4x4) sitting in the garage (Ford B springs).
Can't wait till it's all on there. Hopefully it'll be together for the Sept 24th event at Edgewater and I can make my first pass in it.

Dang. haven't updated this in a bit. got everything installed except the lowering springs. Currently she's in garage for winter.
Replaced the vacuum lines that were bad and cleaned up the Egr Vac lines. Have an msd 6al, harness, and ignition coil on the way. Trying to figure out where to put the 6al. Might have to relocate battery to trunk.
After that its getting base idle and timing set then gonna try and find time to get the lowering springs on.
Too much stuff to do with not enough time or money.
skeptiq

Plan of attack for early spring 2011... at least I have a plan, right?!?!
1) Install 6AL
2) Install Tach
3) Set base idle / timing
4) Install AFPR
5) Install 190lph fuel pump
6) Chip & Tune
7) Install lowering springs
8) AODE (replace or rebuild; still haven't figured it out what to do with the AODE heap)
Once all that's done, I can think about the next stage. If I get too far ahead, I end up losing sight of what I want to do. Need to get this list taken care of before adding to it.

Installed 6al today! Ran dtc's after install and instead of getting 137 (rich), I am getting 136 (lean).
I think I am at the point where I need a tune before doing anything else. I need to also install the afpr, but didn't have the time today.
Need to setup a tune very soon...

That was the original plan. However, I (as all of us do) have waffled and now have a little different plan to work on. I have decided that maybe next year (or 2 years) I will add spray or s/c but there are several things that must happen first. Need to first upgrade the AODE. I haven't decided if I am going to rebuild or just suck it up and buy a beefy one. Also need some suspension upgrades. If I were to spray I would like to be setup for 100+ shot. I am trying to just do my car in stages and not get too far ahead for now. I have a long way to go! I am still considering a possible motor swap also... Just need to get foundation up to par then I can worry about different engines/power adder...

Thanks, it's coming along... one step at a time... patience is not a virtue I have much of, but I am learning. It's getting together in spurts... as I get time and money. There's just sooo much stuff to do...
Glad to see you are still making progress. Seeing this thread makes me want to get back in the garage and work on my car. I am interested to see what kind of numbers you put down as we have almost the same exact mods.
Looks good, but get some pics up with the new wheels:bigthumb
And keep updating the thread. Its motivating :D

Definitely can't wait to get some track time this year. I have no idea where i am at hp bit when i getit tuned I assume I will find out then. Still won't know what times it'll put down.
I find posting has been keeping me motivated as well. Getting so close i can taste it.

Oh yeah, here is the only pic with the wheels on it. This was taken when I got home from swapping them, LOL. That was the last good day we had before she went in the garage. I had her out this weekend to put the 6al on and it was nice to just drive.
Come on spring!

Those wheels look great on there. I haven't had mine out since then either so I don't have any pics of mine with the Tri-bars on it.
I think a set of 96-98 tail lights, maybe with blacked out housings would look killer on there.
skeptiq
02-22-2011, 09:02 PM
The tail lights are on the list... Need to hit up a couple upulls and see if they have any.
I have seen a few foxes with tri-bars and I have always thought they looked great. Can't wait to see yours.

Small update, the shop I was getting it tuned at had their wideband go out :(
Waiting for them to get a new one then I get the tune done.
Also picked up a NX kit from a buddy... Haven't physically got it yet, but hopefully I can get it on there before the tune...
Set backs suck!

Update...
Friday: Attempted to finish the NX install, ran into a couple issues. First, didn't have the right fitting for the schrader valve, so I ended up finally installing the Aeromotive Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, set the pressure to about 39psi. Also found the vac line on the old one looked like sliced bread on the underside, so I replaced that... Then mounted the nitrous solenoid, fuel solenoid, fuel pressure switch, and purge... Hooked up nitrous line to tank and nitrous solenoid and turned the tank on and off to pressurize the line to check for leaks at solenoid / purge and BOOOM! The line burst about 3 inches from the solenoid. That kind of set things back a bit. Have another one, so I just have to re-run the line... arg! After that, figured out where I am going to mount the purge switch and the activation switch, then called it a day!
Sunday:Drove out to Mt Orab to meet blown96cobra to pick up some flowmasters... Drove home and swapped the MAC dumps for Flowmasters. The flange needed a little modification to fit the bolts from the pro chamber, but that was quick and easy... Man, I really like the new sound. Drove to Radio Shack and picked up a bottle of electronics cleaner and worked the overdrive button (sticky from previous owner spilling coffee), so that's working better.
All in all still making progress and having fun...
Chip / Tune is scheduled with Adam at S&M Motorsports April 30th... the only bad news is, I don't think I am going to have time to get the NX kit finished before the tune, so I will have to go back once the nitrous is operational.

Car is tuned!!!! Adam did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier!
Slightly modded sn95 5.0 laid down 204hp / 260tq.
Glad to finally get some baseline numbers. Also bounced some ideas off Adam and Facemelter, so I think I have a good idea what I need to do next...
Need to get 255 fuel pump, get nitrous install finished, update the tune and then spray spray spray until the trans blows, then rebuild that and spray some more, LOL!!!
Thanks again to Adam!
