Ok guys, I am in the begining stages of planning the next E2O private race day, and wanted to get some thoughts on some different dates as to when to hold the event. It has to be on a Sunday, and not conflict with anything going on at E2O.
I hope to get a great turnout, just like last Fall. Thanks in advance for the input

Is there a set number of entry's??
Reason.....
I want to plan a RUN WHATCHA BRUNG, STREET CAR SHOOT-OUT! DRIVE the cars down, click off some Sic ETs and drive em back to Quaker Steak for Dinner and some cool Ass Stickers!! Hell, I might even throw in some Plaques!!
If no restrictions on Entry's I say lets Rock that place Sept 19th!!!:bigthumb

I was thinking the 19th as well and that may be the date I use, I just need a reain date too, and the next available date is Oct 10th, which is the wife B-day and we have tickets to the bangels game on that day. the next date after that would be 17th, but that is AFTER the UMTR on Saturday, I doubt those guys would want to come back out the next morning, I don't know, maybe they will.

Yes and No. Last year, if I went over 70 cars, the price jumps up WAY high and does not make it worth it for a fund raiser, since that is what this is all about. In the past, All the proceeds go to New Perceptions, who help children and adults with disabilities, one being my son, from 15 months old till he was 3 yrs, he is getting ready to turn 6 in Oct. (Damn time flys)
I would LOVE to do what you are talking about, I will have to get up with you and we can kick some ideas around if you want.;)

If you are talking about MY car, well, let me see, I would have to say the way things have been going, it is doubtful, still waiting on some parts as well as the car:tongue2:
So what do you guys think of Sept 19th and Rain date of Oct 17? If for some crazy reason we get rained out on both days, I can refund your entry fee, OR, I can hold it for the spring event, either way, but I just wanted to throw that out there since this spring I thought I was going to have to come up with a plan as to what to do.

Sweet!! Im thinking a city wide, ALL brands of cars shoot-out would draw some spectators as well. So get them to pay $5 to spectate and all that goes towards your fund raising. Hell, even get the guys racing to throw in some cash as well?? I think they would.:bigthumb
How many cars did you have last time?

Last fall I had around 45 car or so, and at that time I was supposed to have only 40 cars for the price that I paid for the rental.
All the racers from the previous times get first dibbs on coming out, and then I start adding new from there since I have a milited amount I can bring out. Each racer pays $40 to race from 11 to 3. It is laided back and when you are ready to run, you go up and run. We have also did split the pot and had a bake sale/donation box too. Last fall we raised over $1200 and I hope to break that this year. BUT I have to keep it under 70 cars though, that is the only thing, like I said before, the price goes through the roof for the rental.
I also let all the specators in FREE. I did this, because they, E2O, open their concession for us and there is a minium dollar amount that has to be spent or I have to pay the difference. So by having specators FREE, more people come out and watch and hang out and enjoy the day, that is what it is really about, enjoying the day, hanging out with family and friends and doin' some racing.
I try and get up with you here soon.

I would love to come shoot the event once again (same deal as before)...however the 19th of Sept. is not good for me as I'll be busting the twisties at Gingerman in MI. Of course Oct. 10 isn't any better as I'll be at Putnam racing. Everything seems to happen all at the same time.

Not a problem, and sucks you have to work.

You are a busy man, maybe one of these times you will be able to make it out.
I think that I am going to see of the 19th is open and a rain date of the 17th I just have to get all the details worked out with E2O, how many cars and what kind of price I will get this time around.

I guess I should have been more clear in my previous post. It would be the 19th of Sept for the race date with a rain date of the 17th of Oct. So you should be good. Heck bring him out and enjoy the day with us.
I hope to hear something back today from E2O, but I know how they are:rolleyes: Never in a big hurry to get back with me.

I planned on making it out to this event but I will be in the Bahamas on the 19th. Anything after that I can make it but then we get into football season lol. It looks like the 19th is the best option for most though.
