I bought a Sony TX5 water proof camera and loved everything about it. Takes great pictures (day or night), cool fun options and will fit into a pocket no problem. The second day myself and the family went to the pool. Everyone playing, taking pictures and my son spraying everyone with water hose. The camera was in the water for about 3 minutes barely submerged. long story short I seen the LCD touch screen had water inside. Sony told me to ship it in (no cost) to get it repaired. If it cannot be repaired they will replace within 2 weeks. This camera is 2 days old and already having issues. If I wanted a refurbished camera I would have purchased one. Second my wife and I are expecting any day. I DON"T HAVE TWO WEEKS!!!! Luckily I took the camera back to the store and they gave me a refund!
now I need to find a new camera.

I would say your first mistake was buying a sony. We've had two Sony camera's that were very expensive at the time (1 digital camera and one digital video camera) and had big problems with both. We would have gotten seriously burned on both if it weren't for the extended warranty that was purchased on both. The video camera was replaced under warranty and the digital camera was repaired but was never the same. Except for my PS3 I won't own another Sony product.

I will NEVER buy another Sony product !!!
We had 2 Sony TVs, a portable radio and a PS3 all go out within 3 months of the warranty expiring ...
IMO Sony can SUCK IT ... They will never get any more of my $$$

I've had a Sony cyber-shot, for ~5 years and no problems.
I haven't had any other experience, with Sony products.
