So just how long does it take to become a member on this forum? We have how many admin and moderators? Three weeks ago my wife registered on here to become a member and also sent a PM to one of the admin under my account but has yet to get any reply or an email in return. I'm sure if someone was getting out of line it wouldn't take this long to remove them. How hard is it to check your email or whatever it may be to allow someone to become a member? I guess it must be pretty tough seeing it's been 3 weeks now.

Only admins can approve new members. I don't think Holly frequents the board very often anymore. I will send her an email.

I've sent a bunch of people here from other forums, all local people, who have replied to me on other forums that they never get admitted. It's a shame.

one of my buddys had trouble getting on too. not sure if he ever got accepted. but im pretty new myself and i had no trouble. i think i got a reply the next day.

On most other boards this is a Moderator function and not an Admin function.

Constructive criticism always helps! New members is like getting new customers...My buddy Travis has been sending pms for 3 weeks(at least thats what he says). Just seems a little odd?

whats sad is none of the admin ppl have responed to this post lol yea ive told a few ppl about the site an they told me it wasnt running still cuz it wont approve them.. i just figured they couldnt figure out how to register or something.

Just a suggestion.....but maybe let one of the Moderators that is closest to the Admin that can possibly share the responsibilities and catch the site up. I know that a website can be very time consuming but it's what is needed to keep the site growing.

Spambots, those that are kicked off and re-sign under a different name are two good examples.

sounds good. If the administrator is approving the new members but they see a name on the list that is waiting that doesnt look right and or the email they give looks suspicious they can simply send an email asking for verification. I do this on extremestreetcars. we have had a couple instances of span bots but there not hard to reconize.

Did you go back and update the title of your thread to say "SOLD"? Admins/Mods can't be responsible for reading each and every thread. Drop someone a PM if you feel the need. You help us, we help you. You want better service, expect to pay more.

How you supposed to do that when you dont have the option to edit?

Yea no one can edit a thread title unless there name is GREEN or BLACK.We dont have the option to.

I have asked multiple times to become a mod in the classifieds section.Im on all day and have no problem reading all the threads.Doesnt bother me a bit.

I said ADMINS.

It is a moderator function.

Not an Admin function. The admin function is to make sure the back end works.

And if you would upgrade your captcha then you wouldn't have the spam problem.
Like I seriously don't get it...there are 100 better ways to do things on stangbangerz but since certain people want complete and absolute control, the running of the board goes to shit.
