I am installing a used trans in my work van. When the old trans came out, the passenger side pin stayed in the motor. The used trans has both still in it. How do you get these things out? Is there a trick?

302? Those are solid you just have to grab them with vice grips and try not to tear them up. You can knock them out of the transmission with a punch if that is the issue. Modulars have hollow ones that I tap with a 7/16 coarse tap and then put a bolt into them, I have a slide hammer with vise grips on the end that will grab the bolt and pull them right out.

Got it out. Used a punch and hammer and drove it out of the trans. Thanks for the replies!!
