View Full Version : I hate O2 sensors!!!!!!!

I took my car to the dyno Wednesday and low and behold my Oxygen sensors on both sides are bad. I am sooo aggrivated! Everytime I am ready to get this car done and might be able to have some fun, I run into another snag! I thing that O2 sensors are the archelies heal of the Mustangs (newer that is).

I spend the money on gas to get down there, spend the money for dyno time and then spend more money on O2's and now have to schedule time to go back to the dyno in order to get the car tuned (Maybe + More $). If one more thing goes wrong, I am finding a river and driving through it!

I took the car to Cincy Speed and they treated me great, and definatly understand. But this car is just about to have me over the edge!

Outside of OEM, the parts store O2's are absolute garbage.

Why would you force a turbo mod motor STREET car on pump gas open loop over $100 in parts? I took care of him, he fixed the problem, now just have to schedule him back in...:bigthumb

Finding an o2 problem is just part of a good tune? Isnt it? for a street car.

well now I have to save a little more money to get that done. :) The wife and O2's put me back a little.

Maybe for your all out "racecars", street cars don't need to be running open loop 24/7. They don't work @ wot anyway, that's probably why you don't like them.

Please explain. You said you hate yóu o2 sensors, you pretty much just have racecars, so partial throttle driving doesn't matter much to you.
