2010 Street Car Shootout!!!

[Maximus]

On Saturday, September 18th, 2010 Street Cars from all over the area will meet at the Old Kmart parking lot in Forest Park Ohio. (12171 Omniplex Ct, Cincinnati, OH 45240) We will meet then drive to Tri-State Dragway to see who is the Baddest Street Car in the area.

Registration is from 10:30am-11:45am. You MUST register between these hours in order to participate in this event. You will give your name, address, color & type of vehicle that you will be driving. You will also receive a 2010 SCS Sticker which will need to be displayed on the lower front Driver side of your car.

At 12pm, we will fire up the cars and head out to Tri-State Dragway. Participating vehicles will be DRIVEN under their own power to Tri-State. Support Vehicles/Tow Vehicles can driven at the tail end of the convoy.

The route is simple....Head out of Kmart, turn right onto S Gilmore/Winton rd. Turn right onto I 275 (WEST). Travel to Colerain Ave (US 27) (Exit 33A/B) turn Right off exit. Travel North on 27 to Hwy 128 Ross Exit. Turn Right off exit and travel to Tri-State Dragway. (4 1/2 miles on Right)

You will tech in with Tri-State and adhere to all their Rules and regulations. Once you have your number, you can make as many runs as you want.

After your run and you receive your run ticket from Tri-States ticket booth, you will need to stop by the SCS Pop up. It will be located near the ET Slip booth.
You will tell the SCS Offical your Name and he in turn will check your time slip against the number on your car. Your run will be recorded in the Registration book (from Kmart) and the top 16 at the end of the day, will be awarded the Top 16 Stickers! Number 1 will also receive a Plaque.

NOW, IF WE HAVE TIME....

We will line up the Top 16 and have a HEADS UP SHOOTOUT!! It will be set up on a Sportsman Ladder!
1vs16................2vs15
3vs14................4vs13
5vs12................6vs11
7vs10................8vs9
The overall Winner will receive a Heads-up Shootout Plaque.


Cost for this.......Whatever TS charges for Test & Tune. Cincy Speed is supplying the Plaques and stickers.

I hope to see everyone there, Daily Drivers, Street Cars, Race cars disquised as Street cars, Diesels....whatever. Bikes can run, but will not be in the hunt for the Top 16.

we are planning on coming.it went 11.17 with 10# of boost at pinks all-out and the motor and transmission are the ones outta the fairmont.im gonna try and turn the boost up to 13-14# and see if it will go in the 10.70s it may or may not.

Yeah I pulled all the nitrous stuff off the car. Just haven't been very motivated this year to spray it. Been concentrating on UMTR all year. I have big plans over the winter for the motor and some other stuff. Plan to come out next year running 10's N/A

That is what I intended this "Shoot out" to be. A bunch of guys getting together, talking some smack, driving to the track and throwing down some ETs. If you are lucky enough to be one of the Quick 16, you get a cool sticker to show off. :D

I managed to get the 13th spot and got lucky in the first round against Foss. He cut a -.004 red light and I advanced to the 2nd round where I got my a$$ handed to me by that black vette. We were close on the tree .021 to a .025 and that was the closest we were after that.

That 60ft was done with the help of jason because it was in the high 1.4s or slower all day.

To be honest we were planning on getting beat by you guys before we showed up. I was hoping for a top 3 finish. We took the car and had it set up by Gary Rohe. But its not exactly what we are looking for. Kinda like to get you and Jason to mess with both cars. Our tranny was just to hot those last few runs. Car slowed down 10mph. That's never good. Lol

Well that's what you get for thanking. There were no rules for the q16. The q16 was just a little bonus. Brandon won the #1 shoot out sticker and plaque on his own. Everyone knew pre race I was driving the car for the q16

my bike was having trouble hooking and i can leave on the street at 7k without a burnout and not spin a bit. that track has never been that slick in my opinion. my bike would get out about 20ft and blow the tire off. i got one decent pass and went a 9.51. the next pass after that i spun then grabed 2nd and it hooked and stood up and i had to lift. i was on a silver and black 06 gsxr1000. lol

yea he said he got rid of a mustang for it. do you have any info on the bike? that guy didnt know anything about it. like where it was tuned at, dyno numbers and if the motor is stock. it has been 9.35's quit a few times with high 1.4's-low 1.5's.

yea he said he got rid of a mustang for it. do you have any info on the bike? that guy didnt know anything about it. like where it was tuned at, dyno numbers and if the motor is stock. it has been 9.35's quit a few times with high 1.4's-low 1.5's.

Yea it was stock when I bought it. Pro stock tuned it. Then it went to brocks. I put the pipe, power com.and swingarm ext. on. I will pm you the dyno numbers.
