I just bought the car yesterday so i have alot of stuff to do. It is a 2000 gt 5 speed 109k on the clock. It already has pypes long tubes, x pipe, slp loud mouth 2 catback. It has a 70 mm professional products throttle body and plenum and a bbk big mouth intake. I have a predator tuner for it that i will be playing around with. I have a set of new motorsport 4.10's that i need to have someone to put in because i have never done it so i don't want to mess it up. It has polished 01 cobra wheels with brand new tires. 5 inch cowl hood and reverse guages. The fan keeps blowing the fuse so i think the fan is shot. Also, it is making a nasty rubbing sound from under the car. I think the throw out bearing is shot so it will be getting a new clutch real soon. I need some help on choosing a clutch. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, Do i have to remove the long tube to get the tranny out? They are pypes brand so im sure some of you have done clutches with long tubes. I will post some pics later after i clean it inside and out. Just out of curiosity what do you guys think it put to the wheels the way it sits?

I don't know a lot about how the pypes headers fit. You might be able to just loosen the passenger side headers to give you some wiggle room to finesse the trans out of the car. I think with a tune you would probably see approximately 250 at the tires.

Most of the time you can get them out with the long tubes it just a lot of prying and twisting, but they will come out. And 12 are there, my car has pretty much the same mods except shorties and 3.73 and been 12.98 on motor with bad air, and 11.86 if you wanna spray it a little.:bigthumb

that is a fairly similar setup to my 02,but I have 4.30 gears. 12.7X on slicks and 250-260 at the wheels.

I have never dealt with the pypes long tubes, Some guy came by here in a yellow pile with some odd brand long tubes and you couldn't even remove the starter with the header installed. He bragged about getting them for about $250, but every time he has to have the transmission pulled for anything it costs him an additional $300.

Sounds like a cool project! What clutch are you going with?

Well i got the fan fixed. The motor was bad. It took me a week to find one local but it all good now. I don't know what clutch to get. I want something that will hold up but not an all out race clutch. Any ideas on what clutch to go with will be welcomed.

I am using a stage 2 Ram clutch right now. Time will tell how long it will last :)
