I know that 6.5 b.s. is ideal, but will 5.5 work well also? These cars seem to have alot more room than the foxes, and the wheels I want only have 5.5 b.s. Any help appreciated!

They will work if you shorten the axle 1in on each side. If not, it will look skated out.

Even with a 275/60/15 tire?

The tire size won't change the fact that the wheel will stick out too far. You'll end up looking like John's car use to.

I used a set of Pro-star look alikes with a 5.5 BS.Left the slicks on the real pro-stars.My rear quarter fender lip was cut out by the previous owner so nothing to rub. They actually looked pretty good for cheap.Tire was a Mickey radial 275/50/15.

I just needed a set of wheels to ride around town in,slicks stayed on the lighter pro-stars with the correct spacing.

The wider the tire, the farther it will stick out.

but a 10 inch tire on a 10.5 inch wheel should make it pretty much a non-issue.

6.5bs sucks it in nicely. but be careful if you have modified your axle ends. I tired running a 325/50 on my pro stars and got a lil bit of rub due to the 9" ends. put the 275/60s back on and no more problem

I can say that with any fender lip at all in the rear they would've rubbed on a bump. The REAL pro'stars with the 6.5BS fit perfect. If spending good money I'd have to go with a 6.5BS.Those look alikes I picked up for a franklin for both.Couldn't pass that up.

Do you mean a 10.5" tire on a 10" wheel? 275 drag radials are smaller than a 10.5" slick.

Thanks, thats just what I wanted to see! I will be running a 275/60/15, they seem to be a little narrower than the 50 series.

For some reason I mis-read the original part and through I saw a 10.5 wheel which I thought was odd.

That should pull the tire patch in(less sidewall to bulge out) and the only thing that should possibly hit would be the rim. What Rim are you looking to get?

What wheel are you wanting to get Chad? Jegs makes a "prostar" in 10" with 6.5bs.

I got the summit brand prostar xp knockoffs on it now, I planned on buying two more for street tires. They only come in 5.5 b.s.
