Not sure on miles on short block, guy told me 60 miles, i believe it is more than that due to some carbon built up on top of the pistons.... Reguardless, very few miles. I'm not sure of miles on the heads, but appears very little carbon on valves and combustion chambers... Now, motor has not been fired since everything has been install together... The motor has a new solid lift crane cam, 3200-6800 range, new comp push rods, new ford racing timing set, new ford racing head and intake gaskets. The heads have matched springs to the cam, with the inner springs not installed due to cam break-in, that is what is recommended. The motor has 6 quarts of valvoline racing 50 wt, 2 bottles of stp, and 1 bottle of Lucas breakin additive. Cam should break-in properly with this oil concockion.. Motor needs to run for 20 minutes straight @ 2000 rpms, then let engine cool off and your done. I would put some miles on it before putting the inner springs back in to be on the safe side. Valves have been set, oil pump is primed, all bolts are torqued, dist has been properly dropped in. Engine needs serpentine belt, spark plugs and wires to finish!!!!!. Motor is ready to fire..
