Anyone on here have any feedback/tips on some stage 3 cams for the 03-04 Cobra's? Anything to warn me about? I plan on leaving the stock ported Eaton on it for now with possibility of adding a 75 shot. Plan on throwing on longtubes and a stronger clutch/input shaft at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

I might be wrong but Brandon did a set of stage 2s in Beefs old cobra, i think the went wtih 2s bc 3s had a issue with idle on a street car.... Maybe one of them will chime in..

Id spend the money on ported eaton or sell the eaton and get a whipple :)

From what I understand you have to degree the cams. There is the issues of engine idle and if you don't degree the cams they may hit the pistons. This is definately a good question for 4v engines

You can go with the stg 3s but the driveability and pre-boost power will suffer. I recommend no more than 220 deg dur for a PD blown combo; no loss of pre-boost power and good mid range and peak power gains. However, you won't have the cool idle (if that's of any importance to ya).
Get some cams that work with stock springs and it'll save a lot of cash and time without hurting power.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I was considering this but had some worries from when I did cams in my Lightning. I put stage 2.5 JLP cams in it and the truck lost a good amount of power, but I really figured it was due to the auto tranny and stock convertor. I understand the concept of too much cam for the blower making it lose power on the bottom end. Maybe it's best if it just gets a Whipple and fuel system.
