Fedex tracking: http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?tracknumbers=705814160857606&cntry_code=us&language=english&clienttype=ivother&
You'll note it says left at front door at 11:32 AM. Friday I ran home at lunch to get my new tire and drop it along with my rim off at the bike shop to have it mounted up. I get there at like 11:58 and guess what...NO TIRE. I got it from sportbiketrackgear.com...they tell me it was shipped in a box 24x24x12. Ok Cool...I filed a claim with Fedex saying it wasn't left. I get a call from the driver today and he swears he left it, ok whatever. I'm not saying it's not possible but I just think thieves typically would avoid the shit storm that comes from stealing massive boxes with unknown contents...I mean the reward is potentially worthless more often than not I'm thinking. And in a 25 minute window????? Seriously?
Is is preposterous to think perhaps the driver saw sportbiketrackgear on the box and took it? I live up a flight of stairs with 4 apartments in the busiest part of downtown Greensburg, IN...there's like 5 sportbikes in the whole town.
I'M SO FUCKIN PISSED ABOUT THIS. Fedex acts like the driver is infallible and sportbiketrackgear.com is pretty much saying sorry about your luck.

Wow that's messed up man..wish I had good advice but I don't know..
I hate that. I lived in a appt building and kids were always stealing shit that was delivered. Id go knocking on the other doors in your building around 7pm or so when everyones home. That sucks

Sorry about your luck, That does suck.
Thieves will steal anything! Years ago on Memorial Day Weekend I placed potted mums at my grandfather's gravesite on Saturday morning. I anchored the pot down with stakes so they wouldn't turn over. I called my grandmother and told her to pick them up Monday (two days later) and take them home so she could enjoy them. My other grandfather (who was the care taker of the graveyard) and I drove back up there not 20 minutes later to look things over. To my surprise the potted mums were gone. That's a new high on lows! Stealing plants from a gravesite.
So you think someone would ignore a box 24x24x12? If thieves will steal potted plants from gravesites, they will steal a big box with FEDEX on it regardless of what is in it. FEDEX employess have nothing to gain by faking a delivery and the guy doing the job sure isn't going to risk his job by covering up something. Theft is instant dismissal in the courier industry. A $20.00 - $5,000.00 dollar or more package isnt worth risking one's livelihood over IMHO. You clearly have thieves in Greensburg as you do anywhere else.
Next time I would suggest requesting signature or having them hold delivery so you can go pick it up.

The driver didn't take it. If he was going to he wouldn't have scanned it as delivered. He would have just said it wasn't on his truck. People steal packages off door steps all the time. Some people even follow delivery trucks around trying to find good stuff to take.

I have stuff delivered to my work. The guy always ask if I'm hiding stuff from my wife. My reply is always no. I trust no one and I don't want it out in my driveway for some ass to steal.

That sucks man... Like it was said above, it does happen all the time. I have had stuff stolen of my front step before also. You can also request the delivery co. to require a signature before they leave the package.
You dont have to re order something and just to watch someone take it. Get a box that looks like it has something cool in it and put it outside your door and wate. When they take it grab them and hopefully get your stuff back

Did the place you ordered it from put insurance on the package? Was there an option to opt for insurance when you ordered? There have been a couple of packages taken off porches in our neighborhood and Fedex I believe is setting up a "sting" by dropping some dummy packages with tracking devices inside them to see if it happens again.

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I ordered a part through summit, and I had ordered from them dozens and dozens times without an issue. Like you I saw that my package had been delivered to my front door and when I went to get it, it was not there. So I called UPS and they told me they couldn't do anything and to contact summit. So I did and summit was of course as awesome as usual and sent me the order again free of charge.

Jegs re-sent me packages before too. I have them sent to my mother and fathers place now, way safer....

I have been in the shipping business for almost 14 years. With the economy the way it is there are more and more people Christmas shopping aka following the delivery driver and taking packages. It is sad. I would suggest if you have an office at your apt complex to give instructions to have it delivered there. 1 it is easier for the driver, 2 it reduces theft, 3 you have a signature and the person signing for it becomes liable for the shipment. I would check with your neighbors, more then likely it was left at the wrong door step.
