Im doing a 4 banger to v8 swap. 1990 i know all about the year issue i have a complete harness and computer off 90 v8. My ? is the harness that plugs into the computer off the v8 harness has the 1 big plug for the computer and 1 smaller plug (green). The stock 4cyl harness has 1 big for the computer and 2 smaller plugs. 1 green which plugs into the v8 harness and a grey 1 that my v8 harness dosent have. What the hell is the gray clip for???? And what is the relay that i pulled out that was in behind the dash on the computer harness. My v8 harness has the plug for it. Just curious.

And to clarify im talking about the injector harness. Tried to describe the best i could. If anyone can help plz call me, pm me, or post up. Im goin nuts and about to set the hole project on fire. Thx in advance

K it says the red circled one the EEC power elay, K that one is answered but the green circled one is the 1 i have but the harness on the car has 2 there. What is the second one? Its not on the picture of the harness.

K now im reading i will need a fuel pump relay under my driver seat. I could swear i already have 2 of them under the seat. WTF am i the only one around here doin a v8 EFI swap? Wowww

I honestly don't remember how it worked exactly, but if you are at the cruise-in on Sunday you are welcome to look in my V8 Volvo- the wiring is still exposed and I had to wire it the same way you need to. I would go out and look, but my car is currently at the Packard Museum in the basement. Sorry.

Packard Museum?? In dayton? We did some fiber work there (If its the same place) By the blood center? Has all them old cars and air plane motors? Cool ass place.

Yes, the same. I do mechanicing and restoration there.

Is it for the air bags? Will the car run without the second plug being hooked up?

Ok i cut it out of the 4 cyl harness it is to the bags, Soooooo will the car run without this harness being plugged in? I mean screw the bags i already took all of the sensor out! I just want to know the car will run with what i have. And to be more specific with the year of harness it come out of a 89 late in the year (Nov) and had airbag.....
