I noticed on my way back from running a service call this morning that my trip odometer and my odometer no longer work. Speedometer still works though. It's my '94 GT with 231,000 miles... Anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix besides buying another cluster with the wrong mileage that potentually doesnt work either?

If the speedo still works, but the odo doesn't, definitely sounds like a cluster issue.

I'm guessing the reason it quit working is because it has 231k miles :lol:

The gears inside the cluster are probially all chipped up. I had the same issue with an old nissan. Speedo worked but logged no miles.

It happens from pushing in the reset button while it is moving.

 only in a sn95 gt can you "get on it" and push the reset button without having to worry about the car getting away from you.

9cobra4. That's funny. Sadly I agree I sold my 95 a couple months ago. Lol

Jesse, I was talking to a buddy tonight and he said that it could also be where the speedo cable comes into. The cluster that something is broke in there.

You would have to take it to a speedo shop or swap it out.

Those speedo's run seprately from the odometer anyways. There not like the Fox body cars that run on a cable. There is a little electric motor that turns the odometer. 94-98 odometers where notorious to be turned back or unhooked until sold.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

I never had an issue with mine. Of course I didn't put 200k plus miles on it either...

I feel your pain Jesse....my coupe has an OD discrepancy on the title just because the damn thing popped off the back of the cluster and didn't work for a while. I assumed the cluster went bad...one day i got curious and sure enough it just wasn't plugged in.

I've owned my GT since it had 129k so I truely know the miles on mine... no odometer discrepency here! I'll add a few onto it when I fix it!
