More and more these days I see people place adds for GT-40 intakes, only to find out they are off of explorers. I loved the look of the old GT-40's and although I know they flow similarly, they look like shit in comparison. Calling it a GT-40 doesn't make it worth anymore, so what's with the false advertising? :HYF:

I haven't seen the adds but I can imagine the let down. I always thought the real GT40 was drop dead gorgeous.

I know exactly what you mean! Pisses you off to find out its just an explorer intake. Say that or GT40P intake please. There is no comparison in looks!

Agree with you on this.

I recently have seen a couple new still in the box original GT-40 tube intakes sell for over $600.00. Almost like they are becoming collector items. I think they were around $500 when new.
