Well for those of you that know me, you already know the car! For those of you that dont, if you have been out to Rob Lewis's shop then you've seen it! If it still doesn't ring a bell then here it is!! Its not much to look at in this form is it?

So Christmas Eve 2009 i went out to robs and i made it in to a car again!

I went and picked the car up because i bought the GT that Rob built for himself as a roller and i figured i would tinker with this to keep my A.D.D. at rest while i focused on the other car and so i would stop changing my mind about what i was doing! This is a pic of it in its current rolling position!

As far as a plan for the finished project, i was kinda up in the air and changed my mind a bunch of times! But I think i have it under control now! I just happen to run across a good deal for a shortblock for my turbo car project and it left me with this in my garage!!

9.5 deck Dart block, 4" Eagle forged crank, 6.200 Eagle H beam rods w/L19 bolts, 4.125 forged Diamond pistons -38cc dish, HV oil pump, Moroso pan! Comes out to be Bas Ass 427w!!

Yeah that color is weird, its supposed to be the factory color from a 96 mustang Gt! But it only looks like that sometimes as you can see from the pics it changes tones depending on light and has no pearl in it at all!

The car is mini tubbed, has an aftermarket K member, Qa1 Aarms, Qa1 coilover struts, narrowed 8.8, 33 spline axles, Not sure of posi unit make, 9" housing ends, Qa1 coilovers on the rear, 5 lug Lincoln Mark VII rotors and HD calipers on front, and im in the process of doing a manual brake conversion with line lock on the car now! I also have this laying in the garage that would fit nicely behind that 427 in the future!

Ive been thinking alot lately about this project, and how i miss driving it around beating the hell out of it! So i am changing this build up a bit! Was gonna do NA with a carb and a th400 trans untill i could blowthru it with a procharger/vortech, but then its a spin off of draggin50's project(which is bad ass)! So in order to be a little different and put some fun back in the car im going to be looking at a tko600 set up and going to swap in a set of twin turbo headers with some small hair dryers! I want to keep the boost low like around 10psi! Im also looking at an Accel Thruster fuel injection system to tune it with!! I figured that since i have two cars to build that this one could be just a NASTY toy!!! :eek:

Ok well im gonna bring this one back out of the dirt again for idk the 100th time! And once again i changed it up some but this time to keep it pretty simple, i sold the Dart 427 short block(which Craig@Cincy owns), and there will be no automatic for this ride! A stock mustang with a 5speed is what got me into this in the begining which spawned to a stock block 331,afr185 heads, holley systemax, and a Tremec! Well thats where im going back to, when it was fun and you could drive it ti the track, race it, drive it home and then maybe to work on monday! Ill update the combo and pics will follow!

Over the weekend i picked up a 1971 351w shortblock, and the FedEx truck has already dropped off my crank&rods! Next i need to get the block to a machine shop and have it checked so i can order some pistons! :eek: I also picked up a Quicktime bellhousing from bangingears! Now if the money tree i planted out back ever grows i might get it finished!!:lol:

I keep changing the combination as well, currently it has Big Block 460 coupled to a powerglide and drive shafted to a 9". Keep thinking about were to go from here and that is why the car has taken so long. I think the best thing to do is to stick to the original plan and run with it, it can always be enjoyed now to change later.

Man its a slow process, about to cut the rear end down and order some axles so i can get it rolling again! Then i have to finish up the brakes, mount the fuel cell, then put the interior back together while i start building the short block!!

Not that the shortblock is done and ready for them but it might give me some more motivation! Being on the job hunt and unemplyment makes this a slow process, plus we gotta take off for the 90+ degree heat almost everyday!!! Guess i just needed to vent!! :lol:

Got the rear end cut down and welded up, big thanks to Rob Lewis! Then these showed up yesterday also big thanks to Craig@CincySpeed! After i go to BG this weekend and pick up some 4.10's ill get it put together and back under the car!!!

The car is in project form, brake lines need finished, needs front wheels and all tires, basically it is a project with some good parts that needs finished, the only way I will part this out is if someone buys the body at least! If not it will just sit for a while! There may be more parts to this car, just going off the top of my head!
